Winter blows. I really hate it. The layers. The snow. The colds. And just about this time of year I have about had it. I want to lay on the ground, kick, scream, and pound my fists until someone shows me proof that the first crocus has arrived.
So what can we do? We're sick of our winter clothes. We've bought up all the long cardigans in Banana Republic. It is too cold to buy the spring clothes. And money is a little tight after holiday and post-holiday shopping. What do we do.... We buy more stuff!
Scarves ladies! It is time to switch out that drab black scarf for something fun. I would opt for a pattern. You can wear it with different color jackets and then pair it with that great long cardigan in the spring. The scarf on the left is from The Limited. You could definitely wear it with your black wool coat now. And in the spring, wear it with a gray cardigan and white tank, a white button-up, or a pretty purple blouse. Yay!
Just think of the difference such a small change can make. Instead of wrapping around your heavy wool scarf in the morning, (and you have to admit it's starting to smell a tad bit funky), you'll have something fun (and clean) to brighten your mood.
So send your scarf to the dry cleaners, and stash it away till next year! Move over winter, spring is on its way!
