The House

It looks very promising that we will be closing on the house the end of June. We are VERY excited. I am a little panicked. While a lot of our things have been packed for weeks now (we packed up things to make room for our niece), I still have a ton of packing to do. I just don't know where to put everything!

Our two bedroom is already feeling small with the three of trying to get around each other and the boxes. The packing must get done though. My lil sister and her fiance are coming down to help us move, and I don't want to be packing when they are here. They are coming to help us move and enjoy a little time in the city for the Fourth of July weekend. They aren't here to watch or help me pack up our things. So I want to make sure every last box is taped and labeled before they land at BWI.

So I've decided I'll give myself one day to pack up one room. I figure if I concentrate on one room a day, the project will seem a whole lot less overwhelming.

We move on a Thursday, so this is my proposed packing schedule:

Friday - living room
Monday - second bedroom
Tuesday - our bedroom
Wednesday - kitchen
Thursday am - bathroom

I think that plan might just work! I'm feeling a little better already!

FREAKIN MAGIC!

I know I've talked about this before, but I hate to wash my hair. The process is painstaking. I hate having wet hair on my back. Just the thought of it is enough to put me in a piss poor mood.

I found a miracle product that is sure to cut my days of washing in half though! Yay!!! Blow Faux Dry is the best dry shampoo in the entire universe. I have tried a few, and they don't even come close to the wonderfulness that is Blow.

I think the stuff is made of NASA super top secret materials. I honestly don't know how it is legal. It could very well put Redken, Ojon, and Bumble and Bumble out of business. And I would like to think that my little blog had something to do with it ;)

I have learned two things about dry shampoo. One, application is key, and sprays suck. Yeah in theory you'd think they'd be the way to go. Aerosols tend to give a nice even application, but powder in a can is a disaster! Try using the Bumble and Bumble dry shampoo in medium brown, and you'll see what I mean. The idea of using a colored powder sounds good and all, but not if it's just gonna spray all over your face and clothes. I had little spots of brown spray all over my face. It was a disgrace!

The next thing to consider, the smell. Baby powder is good when you're trying to fly out the door, but you're gonna to smell like damn nursery all day. And many of the dry shampoos out there either smell like your grandma's perfume or like a bunch of nasty chemicals. And the smell can't be covered up with perfume. It only makes matters worse.

All of our problems are solved with BLOW! The application of Blow is super easy. The powder is contained in a plastic bottle with a little nozzle. You just squeeze the bottle a bit and the product goes right where it's directed. And there is no smell! None! And it gets better... The results are phenomenal! My hair looked better on Day 3 than it did the first day I washed it.

I am hooked. Get yourself some Blow. Tell your friends. This is HUGE!
