Rainy Days

The rainy days of spring can be a pain in the @ss. I never know what to wear on my feet. Uggs won't really cut it. Sneakers are alright, but the next time I go to use them to, lets say, do 30 Day Shred (right...), they are all soiled.

The perfect solution to my problem is of course rain boots. I have never found a pair I really like until now. I spotted this particular rain boot a few months ago at a movie theater in Chinatown. For those of you from New England, you might find it interesting/bizarre to know that many people in DC wear rain boots in the snow. I suppose it makes sense. They keep your feet dry and you can continue wearing them in the warmer weather months.

Anyway, back to the world's coolest rain boot. Hunter rain boots have a great shape to them. They come in number of different colors. My favorites are these dark gray shiny wellies. They can't be purchased off the manufacturer's website, but you can browse the different styles and colors available.

I have found Zappos to be a great resource to find every type of shoe. They sell Hunter rain boots in both adult and child sizes. Shipping and returns are always free, and their prices are pretty competitive. Doesn't get much better than that!

New Eclipse Trailer!!!!

I can not wait to see the scene of Bella, Jacob, AND Edward huddled in the tent together while they wait for Victoria and her newborn vampires!!!! EKKKK!!!!!!

Right Hand Ring

I think every woman should have a right hand right. I think it should be something you can wear with anything and at anytime. Something that when you look down at your hand you think to yourself, I am pretty darn special and boy is that ring pretty.

I know Craig is probably rolling his eyes. I did just get three rings a year ago (my engagement ring, wedding band #1, and wedding band #2--because wedding band #1 was still being made). I love looking at them so much it makes me want more though! Diamonds are like chocolate. Once you have one bite, you want another, and another, and another...

Every woman should have diamonds. They are so pretty. They match everything. They will last you a lifetime. And they will be enjoyed for generations to come.
The Tiffany Swing Three-row ring is perfection. I want to run my finger over the platinum setting and see the light reflect off the rows of glittery, sparkly, beautiful diamonds. The chain setting looks feminine, but not so dainty that it lacks durability.

So what's your dream right hand ring? Take a look around. It's a lot of fun!

Coco Chanel

I am sick. I blame the change in weather, from 80 to 50 degrees. This is day two of the head cold from hell and a diet of whatever-I-want-to- eat and Tylenol Cold Day and Night.

Yesterday I treated myself to a movie On Demand, Coco Before Chanel. It was quite good. Audrey Tautou plays the role of Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel. I really enjoy Audrey Tautou. She exudes all the qualities you expect in a French woman, mystery, beauty, and confidence. You might remember her from The Da Vinci Code.

If you know nothing about how the Chanel brand came to be, you will find the story quite enlightening and a little surprising. I don't want to give anything way for those of you that plan to watch Coco Before Chanel, but I will say this, Coco was not a meek woman. She was quite sly, and she did things on her own terms.

After watching the movie I did a little research on the life of Coco. Did you know she never married and was romantically involved with a German officer during World War II? I had no idea!
