I believe I mentioned that my niece is staying with us this summer. She will be a sophomore at UNH in the fall (woot! woot!). We are super excited. I am a UNH alum, and I am actually writing this post while wearing an old UNH tee shirt. GO WILDCATS!
Some say they'd go back and relive high school. Not me, I would relive college. Those really were the days. I somehow lost 5 lbs my freshman year! I ate mac and cheese for dinner and cereal for every other meal. My exercise regiment consisted of walking to class and carrying as many groceries as I could up three flights of stairs. On the weekends I would change up my diet to Natty Lite and cereal. And of course I had a steady supply of purified water via the Brita filter. I am guessing this "diet" would not help me lose a pound today.
Something that I do not care to relive, my college wardrobe. CRISIS! My regular weekend outfit--a halter top and jeans with no pockets! What the hell was I thinking!? And I loved this outfit so much that I owned several pairs of jeans without pockets, and several halter tops.
I was also going through a pink phase. So I had a lot of pink tops. I'm not sure there is any pink in my current wardrobe. My favorite top by far was a bright pink halter top from Arden B. I wish I had a picture to share with you all. My bright pink top, jeans with no pockets, and of course, platform sandals. I was a sight.
As I cringe with embarrassment thinking of what I did wear, I can not help but think what will become of my outfits today. I am guessing in ten years my boyfriend jeans and gladiator sandals will be a thing of the past. The only difference will be that I will have pictures on Facebook of myself in 2010 fashionable garb.
This brings up a good question, do we have to consider cleaning out our Facebook photos when we clean out our closets? You hear about individuals making their profiles private and limiting what certain people can see in their profile. Is image that important that we should edit out the fashion blunders of our past? Nah. I wish I had pictures around of my days spent in Durham, New Hampshire as an undergrad, bad clothes and all.
